Evergreen Lodge Senior's Mental Health North Bay Regioanl Health Center (NBRHC)

The Senior's Mental Health In-patient service consists of two units (12 beds) for patient’s whose condition is complicated by behavioural and psychological symptoms, and/or medical comorbidity that exceeds the capacity of the community, general hospital, complex continuing care and long-term care system.

As the intake and assessment unit, it provides comprehensive specialized assessment and treatment for older adults with complex age related psychiatric needs. Older adults exhibiting any of a broad range of affective, cognitive, or behavioural symptoms (usually representing a significant negative change from their previous levels of functioning) may be considered for admission to this tertiary care regional service.

**Must exhaust local psychiatric/geriatric services (including acute psychiatry in North Bay).  The patient must be assessed by a psychiatrist and trialed treatment options prior to the referral.  Must have also connected with the Behavior Support Ontario BSO, Seniors Specialized Program (705) 675-9193 x8903.
